Welcome to another mini blog by Hussey Coding.
Meet Magento UK is fast approaching and we are in full blogging mode! With so many seminars and speakers to choose from it can be a daunting task to pick the one that's right for you and your business so we hope that you are finding these mini blogs helpful in making your choice.
Jon Hughes and his topic - Stop refreshing the @#$%&! indexes
And who's this seminar for?
John Hughes
Technical Track – 12:10 – 12:40
Normally at this point I would write a little summery of what I think the speaker may be covering based on their title and write up on the Meet Magento UK page with a little bit of exposition thrown in for good measure but not today as John has kindly provided a talk outline, so I'll let him tell you exactly what it is he will be talking about.
– Why are indexes important and why does Magento use them?
– What data does Magento index?
– What are the different indexing modes and how do they differ from M1?
– What issues does using the ‘update on save’ mode cause?
– How does ‘update on schedule’ actually work with a live demo of the process from start to finish?
– Further tips, tricks and misconceptions
John Hughes is the head of Magento at Fisheye, who are the UK's most certified Magento developers and solution creators. Not only are they committed to continuous and consistent results but also to applying that ethos to their training, relationships and internal workings. John is also the creator of MageQuest, a site dedicated to training and developing new and seasoned Magento 2 developers in a fun, interactive way, though Magequest is still in development, it look to be a lot of educational fun and I personally am looking forward to trying it out!

John's seminar is going head to head with a seminar with Rob Long but as of the writing of this mini blog Robs seminar is still to be announced, so while we are waiting for that why not head to the like, follow and subscribe buttons on your favoured social media platforms to make sure you don't miss any upcoming Hussey Coding blogs.
Thanks again for supporting us by reading and we'll see you soon at Meet Magento UK, but until then, stay safe and have a great day.
